VSC Wish List
While it may be true that in many situations the Beatles had it right when they said all you need is love, here at Vermont Stage we need a few more things to help our company run smoothly.
- Paper Shredder —We don’t have a lot to shred, so a modest sized shredder will be fine.
- Vacuum Cleaner —Help us keep our office clean and tidy.
- Color photocopier —Having a good color copier could save us a bundle on printing costs.
- Two-Line Phone Headset — For when Corinn is calling you to book your Flexipass.
- Office Furniture —Help us spruce up our office with new, matching desks and chairs.
- Company Car —When actors are here from out of town for 5 or 6 weeks they need a way to get around. An automatic car, 5 -10 years old, in great working condition would be wonderful. This dream has come true! Many thanks to VSC board member Ruth Wallman.
- Actor Housing —Our visiting actors also need a place to stay. Our actors’ needs are simple, but specific. The housing must be private, clean, and comfortable and have a working kitchen. A one- or two-bedroom furnished apartment in the greater Burlington area would be perfect.
- Set and Costume Construction and Storage Space —Vermont Stage Company is unique in that it is the only professional theatre company in the state that has no space that we can call our own in which we can build and store sets and costumes. Currently sets are built in garages or in the borrowed and not-always-available shops of various schools. Our costumers must work out of their homes, cars or hotel rooms. And all of VSC’s sets, costumes and props are currently stored in the artistic directors barn in Charlotte - and it’s running out of room!
- Rehearsal Space —We need a room approximately 30 feet square in which we can rehearse our productions. We need the room to be fully available to us for 2 weeks at a time, 4 times over the course of a year.
If you know of any place in the greater Burlington area that might accommodate these functions, please contact us for further details.
